Copycat puzzle game

Main Focus - Designing a mechanic for a grid-based puzzle game.

The basic idea of this mechanic is that whenever the player moves, an enemy in the level makes the same movement as the player. If the player moves left, then the enemy moves left. I would also like to introduce a variant that makes the opposite move. For example, if the player moves left then the enemy would move right. I would use this to create scenarios that would involve the player using the copycat to solve various puzzles.

By creating these elements, the player can engage in strategic gameplay, using the copycat mechanic to navigate puzzles and escape. The visual differences between enemy types ensure clarity, while the option of enemy damage adds a layer of challenge.
